Stevens Electrical Services

Our Services

Residential and light commercial electrical work throughout the Lincoln metro. Every job is done by Michael Stevens — licensed, insured, and standing behind his work.

Residential Wiring

New homes & rewires

Whether you're building a new home from the ground up or updating the wiring in an older house, Stevens Electrical handles the full scope. We install circuits, run wire, place boxes, and terminate everything to code — then schedule and pass the required inspections.

Older Lincoln homes with outdated wiring can pose real safety risks. If your home has knob-and-tube or aluminum wiring, or if your breakers trip regularly, a residential rewire is worth a conversation.

Panel Upgrades

100A to 200A+ service

Most older Lincoln homes were built with 100-amp service panels — that was fine decades ago, but modern households run far more electrical load. A 200-amp panel upgrade gives you the capacity for EV chargers, central air, modern appliances, and home additions without constantly tripping breakers.

Stevens Electrical handles the full upgrade: permit application, coordination with NPPD or LES, new panel installation, meter socket work if needed, and final inspection. Most upgrades are completed in a single day.

New Construction

Rough-in & trim-out

Stevens Electrical works alongside builders and general contractors on residential new construction in the Lincoln area. We coordinate scheduling around framing, drywall, and finish trades — completing rough-in on time so the project keeps moving.

We handle rough-in wiring, panel installation, inspection scheduling, and final trim-out including devices, fixtures, and panel labeling. We're used to working on build schedules and communicating directly with the GC.

Electrical Remodels

Kitchen, bath, basement

Remodeling a kitchen or bathroom often involves moving outlets, adding circuits for new appliances, installing under-cabinet lighting, or upgrading to GFCI protection. Stevens Electrical can work alongside your contractor or handle the electrical portion directly.

Basement finishing is another common job — adding recessed lighting, dedicated circuits for home offices or gyms, and ensuring the space is wired to current code. We pull permits and coordinate inspections so your finished space is done right.

Outlet & Fixture Work

Outlets, lighting, fans, switches

Not every electrical job is a big project. Stevens Electrical handles the day-to-day residential work that homeowners need: adding an outlet in a garage, swapping out a light fixture, installing a ceiling fan, adding outdoor lighting, or upgrading to USB outlets in a kitchen.

We also install dedicated circuits for EV chargers, hot tubs, and large appliances. If you've got a list of small electrical items you've been putting off, one trip can often knock them all out.

24/7 Emergency

Day or night response

Full details →

Electrical emergencies don't happen on a schedule. A burning smell, sparking outlet, breakers that won't reset, or a sudden loss of power to critical systems — these aren't situations you wait on. Call day or night and a real electrician answers.

Michael responds to emergency calls personally. He'll triage the situation safely, make the necessary repairs or make it safe until a full repair can be scheduled, and explain exactly what happened and what needs to be done.

Not sure what you need?

Call and describe the situation. Michael can usually tell you over the phone what's involved and give you a ballpark before scheduling a visit.
